The New Full Function 3 Channel Indoor Double Rotor RC Helicopter is a full 3-D flight Helicopter. This ready to fly helicopter has full function with omni-directional flight. Comes with battery, charger and transmitter. The Double Rotor Helicopter can go forward, backward, left or right with precision control.

The unique co-axial rotors counter-rotate for unprecedented stability. Light and safe, this heli will transform any indoor environment into a cool chopper fly zone.

What caught my eyes was the 4-channel joystick controller of this rc heli instead of the lame 4-push-buttons on the controller of the Gyro Hawk. This gives you precision control instead of the step-ladder control. The controller also came complete with four trimmers.
The forward/backward movements is effected by this horizontal tail rotor. In a steady up/down flight, the tail rotor is stationary, without any spinning movement. Once the right controller is pushed forward or backward, it will start spinning in their respective directions. Since counter movement will make it stop and spin in opposite direction again, it takes a considerable amount of lag time and is not really effective.

Charging socket, power switch and an indicator LED are located at the bottom. It takes 30 minutes to charge the 4.2V Lithium Polymer inside and is capable of flying three 3-to-4-minutes cycles. Which means that after 4 minutes of flight, rest 2 minutes, fly again 3 minutes, rest again 2 minutes and then flying another 3 minutes, according to the instruction leaflet. This is to prevent overheat as well as some sort of 'battery fatigue'.
This Double Rotor RC Helicopter is designed for indoor flight and is very stable when there's absolutely no wind from any source, like air condition vent or fan, because it is really light. Heading control is very smooth and response very well to the controller. You can even fine tune it with the trimmer.

Taking off is a bit of a trick. In order to take off smoothly, you need to take off quickly. Because the column of air being pushed down will bounce back, creating some sort of hovercraft effect making the heli drift in random direction. Once a height of around half a meter is achieved, it will hover steadily. You can then bring it higher
If you ask if it's easy to take off, the answer is that it is very easy.
If you're planning to see it floating in mid-air gracefully, you'll be rewarded. Once it's near a wall, grip and bring it back with your hand, or land it and bring it back.
